Meet Our Founder

John, with over three decades of experience in the construction industry, embarked on his journey as an apprentice carpenter in 1994 in Kempsey, under the guidance of O’Donnell & Hanlon Constructions. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a vast amount of projects including domestic residential houses, subdivisions and commercial buildings, demonstrating his proficiency as a licensed contractor. His educational background includes:

Certificate II in Construction Pathways
Certificate III in Carpentry & Joinery
Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building)

In addition to his formal education, John has acquired specialised training in areas such as asbestos awareness identification, brick and block laying and holds a Whitecard NSW certification.

John's commitment to professional development is evident through his completion of a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment, enabling him to educate apprentices in Certificate II and III Construction pathways across multiple states. With a focus on precision and expertise, John has conducted over 1000 inspections in the Hunter Valley region, including over 150 training inspections. His thorough training encompasses certifications such as CPPUPM3008–Inspect for and report on timber pests, and CPPUPM3010–Control timber pests.

This extensive training equips him with the skills to accurately identify timber pests, recognise associated signs, and assess conducive conditions, ensuring properties are safeguarded against potential risks.
